We are looking for someone to join us and manage the Youth Music Initiative (YMI) programme - the pioneering programme of music development for young people in Scotland. [ Full-time (36 hrs per week) ] You will lead on the strategic development of the YMI programme across Scotland in support of Creative Scotland’s 10-year plan. The role will involve working collaboratively with a range of partners, multi-art form organisations, local authorities and education bodies to develop close strategic partnerships as well as working across a number of projects and funding programmes. The role will also oversee the development and delivery of a range of projects, programmes and activities across all of youth music. Our ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of all aspects of youth music across Scotland and the UK alongside experience of working in youth music at a senior and strategic level, with a track record of successful project management. You will have extensive expertise and knowledge of youth music in all its forms - from contemporary to classical which will include the creation, production, presentation and promotion of youth music. You will be able to demonstrate skills to manage a range of funding programmes across youth music including undertaking assessments and budget management. Extensive knowledge and experience of the arts and creative industries in Scotland combined with excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to our values is essential. Live Music Now Scotland is seeking an experienced General Manager to support the activities of the organisation. Live Music Now is the foremost outreach scheme for emerging professional musicians working with a wide range of audiences throughout the UK. Its aims are to promote the experience of live music amongst people who would not normally have access to it, and to support outstanding professional musicians in the early stages of their careers by giving them a variety of paid performing opportunities and training Live Music Now Scotland puts on over 700 events each year throughout the country and internationally, delivered by a pool of 100 emerging artists working in small ensembles across a range of genres - classical, traditional, jazz and world. The General Manager will report to the LMN Scotland Director in support of the successful continuing development of the company, the running of its activities and the implementation of a new Business Plan for 2019 – 2022 which has recently been approved by the LMN Scotland Board. The General Manager will be part of a small, close-working team who work in separate locations. This post is a 0.8 (4 days a week) position.
