I am looking for a conscientious and reliable person with an eye for design to make and package jewellery for my online jewellery business which is based in Edinburgh. The job can be done at home and the working times are very flexible. The role would suit a stay-at-home parent, student or freelancer. Experience in jewellery making would be an advantage, but is not essential as I can teach everything necessary. You need to guarantee that you will be available for the busy season, 1st November – 21st December 2017. ACTIVITIES Making jewellery (80%) • Put together all the jewellery that you see in my Etsy shop • Use basic wire wrapping techniques, attach clasps, hooks and jump rings • Work to exact specification • Work to an exceptional standard • Work with fiddly pieces • Make the same designs often • Make nice arrangements with natural beads that are unique in size, shape, colour • Make each and every piece with care, even in the busy time running up to Christmas Packaging & posting jewellery (20%) • Package all items with care • Post all items at your local post office using the Royal Mail “Drop & Go” system • Send all orders within three business days • Ensure that all orders are sent to the correct customers Requirements • Conscientious and hard working • Patient, detailed and thorough • Enjoy making things to a high standard, to specification • Willing to make the same design many times • An eye for good design • Good eyesight • Steady hands • Ability to keep to deadlines • Flexibility to manage a varying workload • Experience in jewellery making, or a willingness to learn • Able to check emails every weekday • Able to get to a post office 3-5 times a week • Good level of English (spoken and written) • Respect for privacy of information and copyright of designs • Available during the busy season 1st November to 21st December 2017 • Live within travelling distance of Edinburgh Please email me for further information and an application form.
