The Creative Edinburgh Awards 2019 are right round the corner now! Join us for the Creative Edinburgh Awards 2019 + 8th Birthday Bash at The Hub on Thursday 10th October from 7-11pm. Early bird tickets are on sale now so be sure to register!
Planning to apply for our Awards? Great! We want to hear about all the incredible creative projects that have taken place over the past 12 months. We’ve gathered together some top tips to guide you through the nomination process.
READ THE QUESTION
Exam flashbacks? Us too, but it really is the best advice! Read through the full entry form, take note of what’s being asked then separate your answers accordingly. We’ve asked everything we need to know so be sure to answer it in the right place so we don’t miss important information about the project.
KEEP IT RELEVANT
We love hearing how projects have inspired, excited and broken new ground, but don’t forget to remember which Award category you’re nominating yourself for and tell us how your project fits within it too. You can see the criteria for all awards on the second page of the Entry Form, or access it here.
SIZE DOESN’T MATTER
Our entry form is designed to be quick, straightforward and fair for all entries. No essays required! Just tell us what you think we need to know within a paragraph or two. We’re looking for quality, not quantity.
SHOW US YOUR GOODS
Be sure your links illustrate the project or person nominated and the value it’s had to Edinburgh creative scene. Attachments are optional, but if you are uploading images, video or audio files, be sure they’re good quality. If shortlisted, we’ll use these links and attachments to make announcements and promote the project.
WE ARE ALL CREATIVE
There’s nothing we love more than seeing cross-sector collaborations so we want to hear from you, even if you’re only on the fringes of the creative industries. Techies, IT folk, lawyers - whoever you are, if you’ve collaborated with the creative industries or do work which represents it, that’s worth celebrating.
Nominations are open until Wednesday 4th September. Don’t forget, you deserve celebrating as much as everyone else, so nominate yourself if you’ve been working on an exciting creative project over the past 12 months.
We don’t want to leave any stone of Edinburgh’s creative community unturned, so share the entry form around your networks and encourage friends, colleagues and collaborators to nominate. Plus, we want you all to join us for a night of celebration so spread the word that early bird tickets are available now!
We can’t wait to read your applications and really hope you can join us on Thursday 10th October!
