On February 21st Creative Scotland, Social Investment Scotland and Creative Edinburgh joined forces to run a one-day forum: More Than Money. The day included talks and engaging practical sessions considering the future of funding and exploring alternative routes to finance. The forum hosted honest exchanges about funding, investment, peer to peer models and crowdfunding. Speakers Clive Gillman [Creative Scotland], Fi Scott [Make Works], Kathryn Welch [arts fundraiser and Core Social fellow], Kaye Symington [Paved with Gold], Rachael Brown [Cultural Enterprise Office], Roger Moors [Social Investment Scotland], Sarah Thirtle [Creative United], Claire Allan [National Museums Scotland], Andrea Burns [ROCO] and Janine Matheson [Creative Edinburgh] discussed a range of topics from the importance of industry collaborations to "the three C's". Roger Moors explored the different types of investment and support available whilst Fi Scott very honestly opened up about Make Works' multiple revenue streams- business ideas more than a few creatives would kill to get their hands on!
