#CEawards17: The City, Collaboration and Commercial Award rundown

With just two weeks to go until the deadline for our annual awards nominations, we wanted to have a closer look at the categories up for grabs - along with the talented creatives who scooped the gongs last year. First up, our City, Collaboration and Commercial awards…

The City Award

This category is looking for an outstanding creative contribution or activity that has promoted Edinburgh nationally or internationally, or work that has incorporated or utilised an Edinburgh city space or cultural idea specific to the city.

Last year, award winning sculpture park Jupiter Artland was recognised with The City Award - celebrating its contribution to Edinburgh's people and profile.

The Collaboration Award

This category is looking for an outstanding creative collaboration between two or more organisations or individuals.

Choreographer Janis Claxton and composer Pippa Murphy won 2016’s Collaboration Award for their touching POP-UP Duets, which received international acclaim during this year's Edinburgh Festivals.

The Commercial Award

This category is looking for an outstanding commercial creative contribution or activity from an agency, partnership, organisation, collective or company.

Last year saw experience and service design consultancy Nile winning the Commercial Award for the unique project ‘The People's Money’ - working with the public and other creatives to design new banknotes for the Royal Bank of Scotland.

If your creative practice, or that of someone you know, fits into any of the above categories, nominate them for a Creative Edinburgh Award today!
