Today I attended the Talking Heads event organised by Creative Edinburgh. Creative Edinburgh is an organisation that links creative people working in the Scottish capital. I have to say that I was about to miss the event; I had a hard day and I missed my daily drawing routine but at the very last moment, already having my day ticket for the bus I just thought "why not come? I could draw in there". So that is what I drew.
I arrived at Edinburgh College of Art and the first thing that I found was lovely people at the entrance and great beers so I took my badge with my name and my beer and I went to find a seat. I should say that it has been one of the best talks I have ever been to and I am not joking; the speakers were very very dynamic and fun and they made the talk very easy to follow and enjoy. They spoke about their experiences running their creative business in a way that made you feel that things are hard but not impossible; that the journey takes a while but it is all about working hard and making connections with people. I really thank Creative Edinburgh because I think they made me see the future in a more positive way. I definitely will join their coffee meetings as soon as I finish my course in June.
