By bringing our creative and corporate communities together in an informal and rather unique atmosphere, this event aims to present you with new contacts and business opportunities in sectors that you may not have previously had links to. Whether you are a creative person looking for new business or a corporate person looking to find new talent, this event hopes to link you both together. With talks from Tom Holmes of creativebrief and Yann Seznec of Lucky frame, the event will be dovetailed together by our host Fi Milligan Rennie. The evening will also present you with the opportunity to pitch your business as well as voice any live projects that someone in the room may be able to help with. Housed in a barge boat and helped along the way with a few drinks, we hope that this unique event format is a regular highlight in our Creative Edinburgh calendar.
Fi Milligan
Rennie
Fiona is an Arts Learning Specialist and Drama Artist.
Also, a writer, director, project & production manager,
and turns out, rather a funny lady when it comes to compering
events such as these. Compering many a Pecha Kucha event in
Glasgow, Fiona has a particular talent for putting people at ease,
entertaining a crowd and ensuring that an event has a unique flair
of creativity to it. If you're a wall flower beforehand,
Fiona will ensure that the days that follow are rather
different!
Tom
Holmes
Tom is Founder & Chairman of creativebrief, and also
co-founder of EIMF (Edinburgh International Marketing Festival).
Tom spent over 20 years working with some of the world's
leading agencies and brands in the UK and internationally,
including Account Managment roles at WCRS and Saatchi &
Saatchi, Board Director of The Lowe Group and Executive Vice
President of Grey Worldwide. Tom launched creativebrief in
2002 with the intention of revolutionising agency search and
selection. For many companies, marketing success depends
largely on the quality of agencies and media partners a brand
engages. However, finding the right ones can prove to be
difficult and time consuming, as the marketplace is complex and
constantly changing. creativebrief is now the leading
provider of agency intelligence to senior marketeers and makes the
marketing landscape more accessible, transparent and navigable,
providing brands with the critical intelligence required to make
accurate and informed decisions.
Yann
Seznec
Yann is an artist, musician and founder of Edinburgh
creative studio, Lucky Frame. Their work focuses on physical
interaction, accessible art and music, games and instruments. Yann
founded Lucky Frame when his Wii Loop Machine software hack gained
attention on the internet, resulting in an appearance on Dragons'
Den. More recently, his company has attracted awards and
investment from the British Council, Creative Scotland and Channel
4. Yann has performed at the Royal Opera House London, as well as
in Paris, Berlin and Tokyo, with his arts projects being shown in
galleries around the world.
