This event will outline the pros and cons of these alternative platforms and how they can be used to generate audiences for shows in venues. Speakers include Douglas Robertson, who has hosted dozens of concerts in his Edinburgh home, Andy Richardson whose Trouble club nights include live acts and Ally McCrae, who combines his BBC activity with co-running Detour events. These feature "kidnapped" bands who are filmed playing in outside locations which have included an island on the River Ness, several back alleys and the Forth Road Bridge. Edinburgh Interactive is pleased to announce its first round of speakers for this year's 10 anniversary event. With more than 500,000 games and applications on Android, iPhone and other devices, players and developers both need a way to find each other. Kyoko Matsushita, GREE's European Business Development and Developer Relations Lead will join Flurry's European Managing Director, Richard Firminger; CloudMade's VP of Community, Christopher Peterson and Tapjoys European MD, Paul Bowen, to speak at Edinburgh Interactive this year on 'Getting Above the Noise', discussing how their global networks and tools for games entice and entertain, as well as make money through advertising, promotion and virtual currency. Matt Rothman, Managing Partner at Hemisphere Capital will chair the session. Ian Livingstone will lead a Skills & Education panel.
Edinburgh Interactive will also run a dedicated FREE public day on Saturday 11th August, also held at the Radisson Blu Hotel. Playniac's Rob Davis and BAFTA are confirmed.
