Creative Edinburgh Ltd is a not-for-profit limited company by guarantee. It is led by its executive directors, Janine Matheson and Lynsey Smith and supported in policy and strategy development by an independent board that meets every quarter. Together they form an experienced group of committed and passionate ambassadors actively working on behalf of our members.

Janine is also Director & co-curator of Sierra Metro, a not-for-profit gallery based in Edinburgh. Dovetailing both practical and theoretical experience thus far has led Janine to gain credibility and respect in visual art, business, and creative industry sectors. Lynsey Smith, Director
Lynsey also runs her own business providing a variety of business services to both organisations and practitioners within the Creative Industries and Entrepreneurial Sector. This includes lecturing, project management and workshop delivery to clients such as: British Council, NESTA, Skillset Media Academy Wales, Musicians’ Union, Creative & Cultural Skills and Panel.
